8 Uses of Vinegar You’ve Never Heard Before
Vinegar is probably one of the very few things that improve all
things – the food that you’re eating, as well as the ways of cleaning
you’ve learned thus far in life. We absolutely do not need to inhale all
those harmful chemicals that cleaning products contain because vinegar
does it all.
Vinegar is an excellent cleaning substitute because it gets the job
done better than the expensive products you’re buying and it costs way
less. The companies that just want to take your money are inventing
these new ‘bio’ products that contain vinegar and sodium bicarbonate,
but why would you pay for something that’s bio when you can simply make
your own in the comfort of your very own home.
And the best thing is – you have all the ingredients you need.
Here are some of the things that you’d never guess you can do with vinegar- but YOU CAN:
Clean that yucky shower curtain liner.
Shower curtain liners without exception at some point during the time
span in which you are using them are bound to get cloudy and pretty
icky. Next time this happens, throw it in the washing machine and reach
for the vinegar instead of detergent this time.
Once the liners are in the machine, add 1 cup of vinegar and turn it
on while being on ‘large load’. Use the handwash cycle. The vinegar will
help get rid of the mold build-up and soap-scum.
Use vinegar cubes to clean your garbage disposal.
There’s nothing fun about funky-smelling garbage disposals – and
after a while, they do tend to get that way, there’s just no going
around it – so you have to do the cleaning at that point. But clean
smart. Fill an ice cube tray with vinegar and place it in the freezer.
Once the cubes are frozen, throw them down the disposal and run the
faucet. Turn the disposal on and let the vinegar work its magic.
Eliminate odors.
Your shoes stink to high heaven? Deodorize them with vinegar. This works for all types of bad odors, not just shoes.
Create a convenient and reusable cleaning cloth.
Vinegar cleaning cloths are gonna save you so much time and effort, you will thank your lucky stars you read this article.
Go ahead and just place several folded washcloths into a plastic
container filled with vinegar – but not all the way through. After you
dilute with a small amount of water they can be used to clean up messes
on surfaces. When you’re done, just toss them with the rest of your
laundry and repeat. How great is that?
Make your kitchen appliances sparkly clean.
Use a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and some dish soap. You’ll never use regular cleaners.
Mix up a multi-purpose spray.
Combine vinegar and water in a spray bottle using a 1:1 ratio. If you
actually prefer having a stronger cleaning mixture, just use straight
vinegar.
With this, you can clean your counters, sinks, tubs, tile backsplashes, showers, and more. Do not use on marble and granite counters though.
Don’t like the smell of vinegar? It will go away in a few hours leaving everything behind sparkly clean.
